Head Coach Announcement
UMWRFC is pleased to announce a change to our coaching staff lineup!
After four years of being involved with coaching UMWRFC, this spring, Coach Warner announced her intent to move on from coaching. Grateful to Coach Warner for the hours of work she gave the team over the years, UMWRFC used our spring banquet to say thank you and farewell to Coach Warner and to wish her well in her future endeavors.
A summer-long search for a new head coach has come to a close as Jamie Frech has accepted the role. Coach Frech was first involved with UMWRFC as a student at Michigan, when she played as a blind-side flanker for the team. Since graduating from U of M, Coach Frech has stayed an active alumna, playing for Detroit Rugby Football Club. Her coaching experience includes working with both UMWRFC and Detroit Tradesmen Women's Club as a player-coach. Frech has also been involved with Michigan Rugby Foundation, both working with and advocating for Michigan Women’s Rugby.
UMWRFC looks forward to the fall season with Coach Frech!
