Meg is one of our captains and is graduating this year. She has been playing rugby with an indomitable spirit for 4 years now and is always full of optimism on and off the field. We are really excited to see what she gets up to in the years to come!!

why rugby?
Honestly, I came to campus planning on playing club soccer, but ultimately decided not to try out. Thanks to some heavy recruiting at Escapade and Festifall -- shout out to then-recruitment chair, Deycha Robinson -- I gave rugby a try. (Pun intended.) My aggression and speed made it a great fit for me athletically, and I fell in love with the sport and the family!
in 5 years, what do you see yourself doing?
Well, I'll be married! That's definitely on the forefront of my mind these days! I'll hopefully also have a marathon under my belt by then, and still be involved with rugby somehow -- whether as a coach, ref, or player, only time will tell! I think I could see myself as an actuary still, but then again, if I win the lottery and retire, that's okay too.
favorite place in Ann Arbor?
This is such a hard one! I think I'd have to say Gallup Park. I absolutely love running there by the water and through the trees, and I've also had fun just hanging out with friends or kayaking.
who is your biggest inspiration and why?
I can't name just one. There are especially so many strong, beautiful women in my life, from my mom and sister, to other mentors and friends that I've had the privilege of learning from and growing with.
favorite quote?
Henry Ford: "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right." This motivated me a ton growing up, and has been really helpful in reminding me to maintain a positive mindset. Francine can confirm I try to live it out and help others to, as well from when I tricked her into running 10 miles with me!
if you were an ice-cream flavor, what would you be?
Ben and Jerry's Milk and Cookies. 'nough said.
