SISU October Player of the Month: Fatou Ndaw
Fatou Ndaw

Happy October! This month we are highlighting senior, Fatou Ndaw. Fatou joined her sophomore year and has been an essential part of the team since then. You can usually catch her on a fast break on the wing or blazing through rucks! Fatou is not one to be underestimated. She consistently gives 110% and has been key for UMWRFC in recent CRC appearances.
Year: 2017 Major: Biology Hometown: Ann Arbor, MI Why rugby? My little brother who lives in Sydney played rugby and I thought that if he could do it so could I! So glad I decided to play. I stayed because I met the most amazing people who are hard working and aren't afraid of a challenge.
Biggest inspiration and why?
My biggest inspiration is my cousin Anna, at a very young age she got into an accident and in currently a quadriplegic. However, she has the sweetest disposition and she is such a hard worker. She inspires me to be better and when ever I am felling down I think about her laugh and it instantly makes me happy. In 5 years, what do you see yourself doing? I see myself in medical school and hopefully I'll still be sane! Favorite quote? Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope. -Maya Angelou
I believe in love, it's the hope that keeps many going.
Favorite class you've taken at Michigan?
Orgo not because it was a great class or anything but because Kathleen Nolta is the best professor that I have ever had!
Hidden talent?
I am very good at knitting and crocheting.
If you were an ice cream flavor, what would you be?
I am so boring I love vanilla because its always there when I need it. Who gets tired of vanilla?!
