NEW ADOPT A RUGGER PROGRAM!
Women have played rugby at the University of Michigan since 1980. For 35 years we Wolverines have been part of a proud tradition of the sport as it has grown for women across the country. We have also embraced the blood, sweat, and songs intrinsic to our game.
With this sport there is a universal growth of poise, bonding, and sisterhood from our sport . We maintain these qualities and friendship long after the season ends, long after we graduate. Whether you still play or are taking a hiatus from rugby, the embodiment of its virtues hasn’t left you. Rugby is more than a game, it’s a family.
Help us raise money to reach our goals of hiring a coach, attending Vegas 7’s, lowering player dues, and eventually starting an endowment. Even a little bit goes a long way!
With a monthly donation you can select a current player to symbolically adopt. Your Baby Rugger will keep you updated on all things women’s rugby through texts, emails, or phone calls – whatever works best for you. We appreciate you as mentors and Momma Ruggers. Let’s keep the tradition of a Michigan rugby family strong and growing! Visit our page for more information and to adopt** your very own baby rugger!
