HEAD COACH: JAMIE FRECH

Jamie has been part of the local rugby community in Ann Arbor as a player, coach, mentor, and administrator since her playing debut for UMWRFC in 1997. Her love for the sport kept her active on the field as a player until she hung up her cleats in 2016. Over the years Jamie has been honing her skills as a coach, starting with UMWRFC in 2004, player-coach for the Ann Arbor WRFC (one of the founding members), and player-coach for the Detroit Tradesmen's WRFC and is the current Head Coach of the UMWRFC. Professionally, Jamie is a managing partner at Frech and Wang, a digital marketing consultancy. While she is not watching and studying rugby, she is an avid crossfitter, downhill skier, paddleboarder, and enjoys spending time with her family at their home in Ann Arbor, MI.

ASSISTANT COACH: JASON ANTHONY

Jason is an alumnus of the University of Michigan Men's Rugby Football Club, where he played from 2013 to 2017. Before joining the team at Michigan, Jason first played rugby from 2012-2013 with the Washtenaw Rugby Football Club. Jason's coaching career began in 2016, as Assistant Coach for the Detroit Catholic Central High School rugby team, where he continues to coach. Jason began coaching for both the University Women's and Men's Rugby Football Clubs in 2017.

ASSISTANT COACH: MO KELlY

Maureen (Mo) Kelly started her rugby career playing lock for UMWRFC in 2010. After graduating from Michigan, she played for Ann Arbor WRFC, then the Detroit Tradesmen WRFC, and finally Detroit RFC. She (soft) retired from the pitch in 2019 to prepare for her wedding, but the rugby bug never left her! She started coaching after playing in the UMWRFC Alumnae game in fall 2021. Aside from rugby, Mo works as an engineer, enjoys woodworking, reading, and snuggling her wife and their chihuahua, Potato.
